Ponte Pietra srl

The foundations of Ponte Pietra (Stone Bridge) were laid over 2.000 years ago. Rome was the centre of the Western Empire, and Gaius Julius Caesar was in power.

Behind Ponte Pietra, in the heart of Verona's historic centre, magnificent buildings constructed on top of ancient Romanesque stones still stand today: the closest building, the first one visitors see, hosts the Ponte Pietra Restaurant. Its interior, completely restored thanks to architect Mario Santini, and exquisitely appointed with furniture from the 1800s, bestows its guests with an elegant and refined atmosphere. Looking out onto the Adige River, it has one of the most romantic and suggestive views that the Scaglier city offers.

After his experience at the Bottega del Vino, Gianni Pascucci, with his wife Diana Tropinina, offers his guests a new environment with unique characteristics. At sunset, rays of sunlight filter through the hills, casting cardinal red light against the river waters. The restaurant's ancient walls also take on this colour, perfectly suited to a romantic atmosphere abounding with charm, creating an intimate and suffused setting.

During arena season, it is used for pre-opera services, on request. It also accommodates breakfasts and work-dinners well.

The Rooms
The Rooms The Restaurant is laid out on different floors, with three rooms plus a small cellar where precious wines are stored.

The rooms were cared for by architect Mario Santini. They have a sophisticated and discrete atmosphere, specifically designed for elegant dinners and confidential meetings.
The Cuisine
The Cuisine Under the capable direction of chef Ferruccio Consolaro, the Ponte Pietra Restaurant proposes traditional cuisine with a personal and enterprising touch.

While traditional and typically Venetian dishes are a must, the restaurant presents numerous recipes that have their roots in different Italian regions, in ways that are original and tempting. Naturally, top quality ingredients are used, personally chosen by the chef and from trustworthy suppliers.
